Understanding the Business Innovation and Investment Program (BIIP) Closure and Refund Process

Business Talent (subclass 132) for applicants in the Significant Business History or Venture Capital Entrepreneur streams.

  1. Log into your ImmiAccount.

  2. Navigate to the 'My Payments' section and select 'Manage Payments'.

  3. If your Visa Application Charge (VAC) payment status is 'Credit' or 'Paid', you will be able to request a refund.

  4. From the actions menu, select 'Request Refund'.

  5. A new screen will appear, allowing you to initiate your refund request. From the drop-down menu, select ‘Voluntary withdrawal of BIIP application’ as the reason for your refund.

It is important to note that there is no standard timeframe for the processing of refund requests. Each refund will be assessed individually in accordance with the relevant legal authority or administrative rules.
