How to get started:
To be considered for NSW nomination for the National Innovation visa, you’ll need to follow a clear process:
Check if you meet the criteria for your pathway: Ensure you review what each pathway looks for — and that you can support the information you provide with evidence. Read more about our nomination Pathways.
Submit a Registration of Interest (ROI): Your ROI tells us you’d like to be considered for nomination. It’s a detailed form — once you submit it, you won’t be able to change it, so ensure it’s accurate and complete. Read our Guide to registering your interest for NSW nomination.
Apply if you’re invited: If your ROI is shortlisted, we’ll invite you to submit a full nomination application. You’ll then need to provide detailed evidence for everything you said in your ROI — so prepare early.
]What is Registration of Interest (ROI):
Your Registration of Interest (ROI) is a detailed form that asks about your background, your pathway, and to show how you meet our criteria. You won’t need to upload any documents at this stage — but you must be ready to prove every claim if you’re invited to apply. You can only have one active Registration of Interest (ROI) at a time. Each ROI stays valid for 6 months — and you can’t edit it once submitted. If you submit incomplete or inaccurate information and aren’t invited to apply, you’ll need to wait until your ROI expires before you can try again.
